Out first collaboration with the brilliant Martyn & Tom from Errant Brewery. A super dark Imperial Stout fortified with Bramling Cross and the OCC’s finest columbian coffee.
A collaboration with local beer aficionado @thealetrail. A super fresh New England IPA bursting with Mosaic, Simcoe & Citra hops and brewed to welcome our new students. One special cask of this beer was also made which has been dry hopped in the cask with Nelson Sauvin.
This special edition of our Lab Session beer was a collaboration with Scottish Bioenergy to produce a Limited Edition Green Beer for St Patrick’s Day 2017. By adding a natural blue colourant extracted from algae known as Phycocyanin we were able to create a vivid green beer. Phycocyanin is a powerful antioxidant and the initial research into its production technique was originally conducted at our home, Newcastle University.
